What Dixie's Door is

Dixie's Door is a subscription directory. We gather information about programs, benefits, and services offered by other organizations, and we write plain guides to help you understand and apply for them. You pay us for the time and research this saves you.

We are not a law firm, a government agency, or a benefits provider. We do not decide who gets help. We are not lawyers, doctors, or financial advisors, and nothing in the app is legal, medical, or financial advice. If you need advice for your specific situation, please talk to a qualified professional.

Programs can change

Every program we list is run by someone else. Each program controls its own amounts, eligibility rules, and availability, and those can change at any time without telling us. We verify what we list, but you should always confirm the details with the program itself before you apply or make a decision.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. You must be 18 or older to create one. If you are younger than 18, a parent or guardian may create the account and use the service with you. Please keep your password private and tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Dixie's Door is a paid subscription. Payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see or store your card number. Your subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime, from your account page or by emailing us. When you cancel, you keep full access through the end of the period you already paid for. We do not charge you again after that.

Free trial and refunds

Every new subscription starts with a 7 day free trial before billing begins. You will not be charged during the trial, and you can cancel before it ends and pay nothing.

If something goes wrong with a charge, please contact us at dixiesdoor@gmail.com and we will work with you to make it right.

Using the service fairly

Please use Dixie's Door for yourself and your family. Do not copy, resell, or share the content behind a paywall. Do not try to break into the app, interfere with how it works, or use it to harm anyone. We may suspend accounts that do these things.

Links to other websites

The app links to websites run by other organizations. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what happens on them, including their content, their privacy practices, or any application you submit to them.

Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the information accurate and the app running well, but we cannot promise that every detail is current, that the app will always be available, or that any program will accept your application. The service is provided as is.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Dixie's Door LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including money you did not receive from a program, decisions you made based on information in the app, or problems with third party websites. Our total responsibility to you, for any claim, is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some states do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and let you know by email or with a notice in the app before the new terms take effect. Keeping your subscription after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
